House @ Dempsey // Fayth Botanica Dress

Had lunch at House @ Dempsey today with one of my girls, and was... Vaguely unimpressed by their taro truffle fries? My friend told me "moral of the story: always just order normal truffle fries". We have a tradition where we eat truffle fries EVERY time we go out haha but this time we decided to have a change from the normal potato fries. But these just tasted like very salty and very oily fried flour. 😅 I would say give this a miss.

This, though. 😋 The Jerk Pork Tenderloin was tough, yet surprisingly tender, if that description makes sense. My friend gave me a weird look when I said that until she tried a bite and then she said she realized what I meant. It was really good, though the portion is really very small for the price! The waitress warned us it was a small portion but when it arrived we were quite shocked.

I had the Minty Melon (watermelon and mint juice), which, for the price of $8.50, should have packed a greater punch. I wish it had had some crushed ice because the weather was so hot today! The mint taste wasn't very strong, maybe because watermelon juice is quite distinctive. It was okay, but I wouldn't drink it again. But it was a satisfying meal with very good company 👍🏻

I found a lovely white brick wall around the area to snap some ootd shots! This dress was bought quite some time ago but I only wore it out today because I was keeping it for photographs. The print on the dress makes me so happy. ☺️

The eternal question is which one makes it to Instagram haha. I hurriedly selected these 2 from my camera so I'll probably be checking through later on the laptop... I didn't want to bring a huge tote bag at first (it spoils the dainty effect of the dress) but I've been feeling annoyed at every small thing recently, so I didn't want to make things worse for myself by trying to squeeze everything into a small bag! So big bag it is.

Feeling so sleepy now after getting home, but I need to go jogging in an hour (taking advantage of the sun! It's sunny for once and not pouring!). Maybe I'll catch a short nap 💤 my TTR parcel came in the mail today so I'm going to try it on later!
