🍑 Peaches & Swatches 🍑

Swatches coming right up! @joycelynthiang

But really FML because I used my phone to snap this photo and realizes it shows pigmentation so much more clearly than my camera.

My camera was not behaving today 😑 hope the photos turned out ok.

Lunch first! My arm is so raw from rubbing with makeup remover now 😂

#dayrebeauty
This is lunch, guys. KFC's Parmesan Chicken with Truffle Cheese Dip.

Be right back. 😛
Starting off with a photo of the palette! 18 colours for $76. Black Members seem to be getting 10% off now, so around $68?

The colours are mostly warm and shimmery.

First thoughts: CANDIED PEACH. I was the most excited for this after seeing Kathleenlight's no mirror makeup challenge. I didn't expect it to be a coral shade with gold glitter because it looked coral in her video. This palette has more satins and shimmers than mattes (which I prefer over shimmers).
First half of the palette with the lighter shades (which I'm not too stoked about, more later).
Second half with the darker shades that will most likely give me lower mileage, but are still pretty anyway.
Let's talk about Candied Peach - I was surprised because it looks so interesting. It's a matte coral-peach with gold sparkles in it. It's matte. It has gold sparkles. The sparkles look pink when they catch the light. 😳 I knew I would love it but I didn't know I would like it that much. No idea whether I'll like it on my eyes though; but I have high hopes for it.

Tried my best to capture the sparkle!
Now let's Talk Derby (to me), LOL.

It's similar to Candied Peach because it's a little like a matte purple (so deep it almost looks black) with light purple glitter in it.

It reminds of me a night sky full of stars.

Pigmentation wise, Candied Peach and Derby weren't blow-my-mind (but still quite pigmented and so pretty!), but I'm not sure if it's because my fingers were already pruney from the makeup remover, lol. The colours are gorgeous though so it makes up for it.
Swatches at last! The first row of the palette: mostly satin/shimmer shades? I find it hard to tell the difference 😂

White Peach was pretty meh. It's a satin off white shade but the pigmentation just wasn't there. It was the first shade I swatched by the way, so it wasn't as if my fingers were already wrinkly from the makeup remover. I swatched it 3 times just to get this colour payoff.

Luscious on the other hand blew me away! It reminds me of Bloom's Firecracker, but a lighter version.
Just Peachy is a very pretty pink!

Bless Her Heart turned out better than I expected. My bestie actually hesitated to buy Peach because she thought she wouldn't use the green shade but I told her I had the feeling green shows up on skin as a more greenish-grey olive shade, and it really does. Now it's much less intimidating to think about using it!

Tempting is... Let's describe the pigmentation level as: combine the levels of all previous shades and make it into one. SO BLACK. Slight sparkles.
Charmed, I'm Sure looks more like a satin than a matte to me. If you combined Luscious and Charmed, you might end up with Firecracker from Bloom.
I think this is my favourite row. I'm biased because of Candied Peach.

Nectar is a shimmery golden orange but shows up more white than golden on me. It's pretty but not as pigmented as I would have liked.

Cobbler is so pretty! And I'm sure you've heard enough about Candied Peach.

Bellini looks rose gold to me because of the shimmer. So excited about it because I can finally try Kathleenlight's rose gold look!
Peach Pit really looks like the colour of a legit peach pit. The shimmer shades in this palette really have amazing pigmentation, they come off so smooth and buttery and so vibrant! 😍

Delectable didn't look matte in the pan but came off looking like a matte purplish brown on me. So-so about this; the mattes in this palette aren't amazing.
I say the mattes don't impress me because the few mattes weren't very pigmented. Peaches 'N' Cream reminds me of Flower Child in Bloom but I had to rub hard and swatch a few times. Even then the colour doesn't show amazingly on me.

Georgia is SUCH a pretty muted peach? It's really not very pigmented though but the colour is to die for.

Caramelized, though. It was rich and super pigmented and I love it. Like caramelized anything in real life.
Purée and Summer Yum are both matte. Summer Yum is more reddish, so I like it more. Again, their mattes aren't much to write home about BUT the colours are lovely!

Finally, Talk Derby To Me, which I have no idea how I'm going to use. 😂 maybe I'll keep it in the pan and stare at it because it's so pretty.
Close up of Candied Peach. I tried to get the shimmer but my camera didn't capture it. But it really does look matte in most angles until the sun catches the sparkles. The colour. I cannot. 😍

You can also see how intense Cobbler and Bellini are.

I'm so excited to use this on my eyes!
Zoomed in on Derby just to capture the sparkles. SO PRETTY?

If I had thick double eyelids (non-Asian) I would totally put this all over the outer thirds of my eyelid for a sparkly smokey eye. 😭 But as it is I might look like a victim of domestic abuse, so maybe not.

On second thoughts, looking at the close up, Purée and Summer Yum aren't too bad! They're mattes but definitely more pigmented than the first two matte shades in this row.
Ok I am... Many hours behind my study schedule. Shall stop rambling on about eyeshadows and get back to work! I can't wait for Monday to come so I can use this palette.
I think I'm hallucinating. I'm sitting in another room but I can still smell peaches. Have I gone mad? 😂

I went to stalk #dayrebeauty hashtag but I shouldn't have because now I want to buy more things haha.

Going to hunker down on IT2 again! Feeling so tired of studying for finals 😵
