Hyde & Co // #OOTD

Today's brunch date at Hyde & Co. I've been craving brunch for the longest time ever since before finals, but I couldn't think of anywhere to go. I got my friend to send me her list of "to go-s" and I picked Hyde & Co! Vaguely disappointed because I wanted to try their crumpets and TRUFFLE FRIES (the craving is real) but I realized they only have the brunch menu on weekends. 😪 Guess I'll make another trip down.

No truffle fries, so we got a bucket full of Parmesan fries that came with Chipotle Aioli Dip. Yum. They even graciously refilled the dip for us very generously.

This was a LOT of fries for $8. The chipotle made my nose water because I have 0 tolerance for peppery or spicy foods, but I willingly ate loads of the sauce because it was that good. It almost made up for the lack of truffle fries but noooo I still want my truffle. 🍟

Ondeh-ondeh French Toast ($12).

I'm not the biggest fan of French toast or ondeh-ondeh, so my friend ate this. The sauce that came with it was pretty darned good with the ice cream.

Plus points for the presentation though, the green and white shaved coconut chips looked very pretty.

But hellooooo vanilla bean ice cream.

Developing a new love for good vanilla bean ice cream. 😋

My Morning Glory ($18) - scrambled eggs with heibi hiam, smoked salmon and sourdough rye.

I love sourdough rye and salmon and scrambled eggs so I'm not sure what could possibly go wrong with this. My only gripe is that I couldn't taste any hint of heibi hiam whatsoever (which may have been a good thing given my lack of spice tolerance) and the rye was impossible to cut.

Otherwise, the mushrooms were amaaaaazing and the portion was really generous with the salmon and eggs. I like.

Not sure what exactly possessed me to pull on skin tight black skinnies in the midst of Singapore's hottest period, but... I did.

Thank goodness the loose fit of the tank top kept me sane.

Paired with reflective sunnies that @mermaidsarereal got me from BKK! The nose pads don't fit on my nose so they're held up by my cheeks. 😂

Cuffed my jeans up slightly and paired them with my Miista ombré booties which get really minimal wear because I rarely wear pants. It's too hot to squeeze myself into pants.

Bad girl RBF vibes strong in this set of photos. I like the ones with sunnies more but my friend/photographer thinks the ones without are better. Can't decide which to instagram!

Anyway for the price paid for Topshop jeans... They'd better be magical. I had around $30 to redeem so I only paid $50 for this pair, but I can't fathom paying $80 for a pair of jeans because of their low mileage in Singapore.

They fit amazingly though. I'm wearing W28 because I'm either a UK10 or Topshop sizing runs a LOT on the small side. But they're super comfortable and stretchy and I've wanted a pair of black skinnies for a long time. 👌🏻

Currently doing e-learning for work... Will shower before I spam some photos of my eyeshadow today! 

I only went out for a couple of hours so there was actually no need for a full blown eye look... But since I can't do that to the office, weekends are the only time I can blow out my palettes. It'll have to do.

Today's #FOTD!

I've been watching a lot of tutorials on halo eyes and I really love the halo eye look. It's a pity it can't really be recreated on Asian eyes because we don't really have the thick double eyelid, so the halo effect doesn't show through as much. Plus open eyes = everything is gone.

Oh and erm I might have overdone my blush today. Obviously layering a poppy pink and shimmery plum was too much. 😳

Basically patted a dark brown shade on the inner and outer parts of the eyelid and then a golden in the middle. Blend like crazy. I know when I swatched Peach at first I didn't really like Luscious but it's like my most used pan right now. It looks meh on my forearm but shows up on inner corners and under eyes like magic. 😭 I'm sorry for ever doubting you, Peach palette.

I still need loads of practice!!

Ok last one I promise. Wearing Tarte's Embellish and Epic on the cheeks and Ofra's Charmed on the lips (which was a terror to reapply after a meal because my lips were just crusty and super dry).

Also busted out my Mary Lou-Manizer sample today aka I took a brush and chucked loads of highlight onto my face - it never shows up as amazingly as it does on those YouTube tutorials though. But still, side view to showcase that shine. 🙊

Forgot to share this - my friend's gorgeous nails 😍

I love looking at people's gel manicures and I always dream of having one but it's honestly too expensive for me to splurge on one and also impractical because I always end up poking my eyeballs when I remove my contacts if I grow my nails out.

I've always wanted a shattered glass manicure. 😭

Just when I was about to wash my makeup brushes and then head to bed... I saw a mailer from Watsons that there will be a sale on 17/18. 😳

Which makes me REALLY tempted to get new lippies. I have a lot of lippies that are slightly too dark to be work to work and I keep wanting to get these Bourjois lippies after seeing them on @flrncx all the time. 😭 

I shall check out the sale and see if there's 1-for-1. 🙊
