Exchange Hashtag Help? // Mass Food Updates

A mass update of all the foods I ate this week! Since it was the last week of internship I decided not to pack food and ate with the colleagues on Monday!

Vegetable croquette curry omurice from this new stall at Bugis Junction called Washoku Goen. $6.90, but if you pick the meat choices it's $7.90-9.90.

This was pretty darned good! Like a cheaper Monster Curry. 😛

Though I got judged by my fellow guy intern for finishing it 😵 (it's HUGE).

Then Monday night I headed to @huiyihwee's parents' place at FEP to try the salted egg yolk pork ribs rice ($6)! I rarely rarely eat SEY (it's always so peppery and I cannot eat spicy food gosh) BUT this was so good I was scraping all the leftover peppery goodness into my mouth 😛 Everybody go try! It's at level 5 of FEP and it's soooo crowded.

Random #ootd in #fayth Genesis Top and #AFA Palermo Popper skirt. I've worn this skirt about twice but it's really too tight for me so I think I'm going to try to sell it on Carousell 😪 Such a pity because I really like this skirt!

On Tuesday, I had lunch with the BFF and A. We used to be one clique in Runway in JC, and we had tons of fun and laughter during lunch.

Lunch was at Miam Miam and this was the Miso Chicken Salad which is part of the executive lunch set. I didn't know there was a students' meal or we would have gotten that. 😭

This was a so-so salad... 4 pieces of chicken with a few drops of miso sauce on them, and some lettuce leaves. LOL.

A's teriyaki chicken don which looked very nice but I didn't try it! I think it may be the only chicken item on the menu?

The bestie's squid ink omurice. I was contemplating to get this at first but I'd just eaten omurice the day before! But I'll try this the next time I go! 😛 I stole a bit of hers and it was pretty tasty.

My Miam Miam spaghetti! Think this was pretty darned good, so no complaints. It's pricey (around $20 inclusive of GST) though, for a poor broke student like me. 😂

Valrhona Chocolate Soufflé ($13.90) which took 20-30 minutes to arrive but was very light and creamy and delicious. Anything chocolate goes for me.

Quote of the day from A: "Valrhona? Isn't that some Viking thing?"

Me: "That's Valhalla..." 

A: "OH VALHALLA YES."

*cue non stop laughter from all 3 of us*

They walked me back to office after (in the sweltering heat!!) ☺️ - thanks guys for coming over to lunch with me.

Wednesday was udon day with a hall friend at Citylink... I had to take the mrt from Bugis to meet him there! My cravings were sushi or dimsum but the queues for those were too long. No complaints about fried squid though.

Thursday was lunch at Itacho with Elsa.

Omg this is so good like... It's roasted salmon with skin, and either mentaiko or butter. 60 cents for one and each customer is only entitled to one.

The roasted salmon is soft and tasty and when it's paired with mentaiko/butter... 😍

Crab and seaweed egg roll.

More roasted salmon, this time with mentaiko/cheese. You can tell that I'm really big on salmon. 😛

Erm, a bowl of rice with butter soya sauce and grilled scallops.

In the menu the scallops were significantly larger. 🌚 I mean REALLY significantly larger.

Sad to say, the rice was way tastier than the scallops and this isn't something I'll be eating again.

Roasted squid. Squid all day, everyday.

Had a bite of Elsa's soft shell crab hand roll and it was nice too.

Honestly I can crave and eat sushi every single day. I don't think I've ever been tired of sushi before.

And it's always great to eat with her because our cameras always eat before us and I know she won't mind if I snap photos because she's doing the same 😂 plus she usually takes longer than I do, and I already take ages normally before anyone is allowed to eat. 🌚

And then the mother cooked a whole pot of carbonara sauce on Thursday night. Don't mind if I do. 😍 I'm going to miss homecooked food SO MUCH when I'm on exchange. I'd better learn how to cook ASAP 😳

Bought the double caramel magnum minis 😍 there is so much caramel in this mini that it was flowing out of it. LOVE.
