Pokemon GO / The Fabulous Baker Boy

Yes... Building up my water Pokemon collection because it's my favourite type. Good thing I'm in Clarke Quay area so I managed to snag a Slowpoke!
#pokemonGO or more like #crazy
I went for NUS RAG and spent so much time trying to download it but the internet wouldn't work. I ended up downloading it at Buona Vista MRT lol.

I realized that this didn't post just now?
Picked Pikachu as my starter Pokemon! I actually don't really like it because everyone only knows Pokemon by Pikachu and that's so mainstream. 🌚 But I like Raichu a lot, so I want to evolve this one and I figured I'd catch a Squirtle/Charmander soon enough. (Usually pick those).
To get Pikachu as your starter just ignore the starters a few times and Pikachu will appear!

Someone left a lure at Serangoon MRT!
LOL I was at home and I casually commented that the park near our house is a Poke Stop... And my dad said "ok I follow you go!" 😂 It's unbelievable but my dad followed me to the park just to get free poke balls. And we met loads of people at the park playing too. 🌚
I got a few mosquito bites for my trouble though.

Anyway back to my day, and enough of Pokemon.
Met @mermaidsarereal at Rag! Thanks for taking time off your motherly duties to walk with me around NUS and snap ootds. Since you woke up on time for today I guess we are still friends. 😌

I had lunch at 황 (Hwang's) in NUS after supporting B for law rag, with another JC friend, S, and I honestly cannot believe that in just one month after I fly off to Canada, he will be flying off to UK to study vet science.
(Keeping them anonymous because they're not big on social media but using alphabets is so tedious.)
Our clique of 5 will be split up for 5 years until he's back! And by then we would all have graduated. I think it's pretty amazing how we all ended up in different faculties.

Then I headed to The Fabulous Baker Boy with the BFF.
It's been almost, what, 2 years since we've been there?
The slice of cakes we ate today were smaller and cost more than they used to be.
But they were also much, much better than what we ate in the past. So good that we almost bought a second slice each. But I said no, because we are heading off to exchange soon.

I really wanted to try this too!
The Diana Ross - milk sponge, raspberry buttercream, and white chocolate. It sounds so good.
We also had a great view of the open kitchen and practically spent all our time gawking at the bakers within who were frosting cakes.

This looked so nice too. Earl grey sponge, lemon, blueberry buttercream.
A pity that the cake I wanted to try, Luna, was not available.

I got the Tina Turner - butter torte, salted caramel, vanilla buttercream, topped with burnt butter brittle and Valrhona chocolate buttercream.
I really, really liked it. 😳 I honestly savored every bite and wanted more. The slice was too tiny (and also so pricey at $10). The burnt butter brittle on top was so good as well.
Thankful for the staff who directed us to the fridge because we thought the only cakes available were the ones on display!

L got the Celine Dione - white chocolate and macadamia sponge with raspberry compote.
This was denser and more tart. I definitely prefer mine because I loved how sweet the caramel was, but I liked this too. L said it was great!
We had cakes here before and it was good but this was amazing. It could be because we ate chocolate cake and there's a chocolate saturation point for us... Beyond which cakes don't get any better any more.

Had so much trouble editing this photo because the background was overexposed.
Oh it's also located in Fort Canning Park which is one HUGE pokestop - we saw so many people just standing around playing. More incentive to go? 😉

#TCLootd for today! Wanted to wear this top before I fly off because I won't be able to bring it with me.

Went to the Showcase to try the new #AFA romper and had a cheap thrill moment because I fit into size S.
I use the term "fit" loosely because while the butt and hips fit nicely, the rise was impossibly short, and the PTP was bursting. If I moved my arms, the front gaped because the button only holds the two pieces of cloth together at that small part where it's sewn. Verdict - it's only made for short people with no chest.

I unbuttoned it and it looks much better, but exposes everything in real life if I so much as move.
But such a pity because I actually liked it! I'm jelly of those who fit into this comfortably.

My sister also asked me to try this for her and it is quite possibly the ugliest thing I've ever worn. Maybe because it's L (no other size available). The material was so stuffy and hot, and it was voluminous. I felt like I was swimming in a sack (the colour did nothing to help).
Just... Meh. I can't believe she entertained the thought of even buying it. I don't know who could pull it off. 😳
