Tired of all this.

Monday's errand running trip with the sister!

This was the day I found out I got scammed. I went for lunch with 2 friends, and one of them commented "all you have is money anyway" when I didn't want to eat $30 Japanese food (because it was too expensive and I don't especially like Japanese food). I literally flared up and scolded him because I was still feeling really upset about my lost money.

I've decided to just move on and get over it. What's done is done.

Wearing my neglected high tops!
And #FOTD of the day, featuring my new spectacles. I got a refund for the Owndays one the previous time because I got so fed up with all the adjustments and still not being able to see. Especially when they kept telling me the frame was different and I needed to "just get used to it".

I got used to this new pair in a day.

Anyway, wearing Alyssa on the lips and I surprisingly like it more than I thought I would. It reminds me of Lumiere, but a less purple/cool/more pink version.

Oh I'm also wearing the Dr Young BB cream because I got a sample of it. I just wanted a lightweight, simple coverage but the BB cream felt like a really thick mask on my face the whole day. I'm not sure if I used too much (samples always have too much product) but the consistency was really thick and tacky, and gave me more coverage than my usual liquid foundation. 😳 Doubt I'll be using it again!

Also started the Innisfree No Sebum Powder and it held up this BB cream pretty decently.
Had lunch at my grandma's place because of the δΈƒζœˆ prayers and I'm glad I got to see her before I go. I'm not particularly close to my grandma but it's nice to be eating this food, like I did when I was little.

Plus, roast duck is a huge favourite.
I also caught a Growlithe yesterday at my friend's place!

I've a huge weakness for water Pokemon first, then fire, then psychic. I saw an Abra in the train but my connection was really bad and I didn't manage to snag it.

My friends and I were talking about how so many people who don't know what Pokemon is are playing. S said, "my gf asked how I know what Pokemon is nearby. Obviously we can tell from the black shadow right!"

To which me and Y agreed vehemently - Pokemon nerds that we are. πŸ˜‚
Honestly though I don't like the fact that this is just a grinding game of visiting pokestops and trying to catch as many as you can to evolve the Pokemon.

I want to catch one Pokemon and nurture it's skills and power bit by bit until it evolves, not catch tons and trade them back for candy so I can evolve one. Also, it's impossible to battle gyms and win, which takes a lot of fun out of the game.

I still want my Vulpix/Lapras/Raichu/Abra!

Yay just snagged me a Slowbro! Looks like this Pokedex version does not have a Slowking.

The "I asked my mum to name my Pokemon" thing that's going around on 9gag has Slowpoke named as "Angry Pig" πŸ˜‚ To be honest I have no idea what animal Slowpoke is.
Dinner from ι‡‘ζž•ε€΄ last night while watching NDP on the TV together! Thank you C for hosting us in your house. πŸ’•

It's been a plan of ours to watch NDP together since JC times. Every year we end up whatsapping each other song lyrics during the singalong because we are not physically present to sing together. And finally, almost 3 years after we graduated from JC, we met up on National Day.

It's a blessing to know this group of people which was my support system during A levels.
(Look I smiled so happily until my eyes disappeared).

We spent the night playing Avalon, which is a crazy mind game designed by a genius. It's more difficult to strategize how to play the game than it is to understand the rules.

Basically there are 3 spies (denoted by 3 red cards), and 1 is Morgana (Red Queen, we used poker cards). The good guys are black cards, and includes Merlin (Ace Spades) and Percival (Black Jack).

Everyone picks a card and gets a role according to what card they picked
Everyone closes their eyes and the game master calls for the 3 spies to open their eyes and look at each other. Then they close their eyes and raise their hands. Merlin is then called to open his eyes and see who the spies are. Then, he closes his eyes. Next, Merlin and Morgana raise their hands, and Percival is called to open his eyes. So Percival does not know who is which character.

Everyone opens their eyes. The first player chooses 3 people including himself to go on a mission.
Everyone votes yes or no to the choice. Then the 3 will be given voting cards to vote whether the mission passes or fails. Nobody knows what each person voted.

So it goes on to mission 2, and so on. Merlin must try to stop the spies from going on missions in case they fail the mission, while keeping his identity hidden.

Because at the end of the game if the resistance succeeds in their missions and wins, the spies have another chance. So long as Morgana chooses Merlin correctly, she kills him.
So Percival's role is to sort of take the brunt for Merlin. He needs to guess which is Morgana and which is Merlin, and pretend to be Merlin so that Morgana is tricked into choosing him at the end.

I love the concept because I used to read King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table quite often when I was younger, so all these character names make the younger nerd in me very happy.

But all the logic needed to play this slays my mind. I'm too old for this! πŸ˜‚
Today's lunch prepared by the mother who doesn't have to work today. Woohoo! I'll take any break I can from cooking.
So tired of all this. Of all the exchange stuff to settle. Pre trip, post trip, rented house issues, conversing with landlord...

At this rate I might as well set up a travel agency and charge the people traveling with me a fee for planning everything and making all the reservations and bookings. I don't even know how many hours I've spent googling routes, places, reviews.

All at the same time while worrying about my own worries.
And if I can be bothered to take the initiative to do things like this, don't take me for granted.

Don't ask me for things that you can get yourself simply by typing a one liner into Google. Don't ask for updates on the trip itinerary, like as though trip plans fall from the sky. Don't ignore my messages when I ask something important, or if I ask for your opinion about the plan for the day.
