Taipei Day 5: Danshui

It was freezing today, at 14 degrees. Unfortunately it was also the day I decided not to wear a knit pullover. At least I brought out my new scarf! My hands are so cold though that I can barely type. I've seen people walk past in short sleeves or short skirts and I have no idea how they're still walking! 

I'm on the way back to Ximen now, at least it's not cold in the train. My hands are still numb though!

Pink guava from Danshui Old Street. It's so pretty. Having fruits here is like eating solid gold; everything seems to be more expensive than in Singapore. Or perhaps it's because it's a tourist attraction so prices may be hiked up. We haven't had much fruits or vegetables for the past few days and I'm not used to it at all.

We visited Fort San Domingo. I insisted on it because it looks so photogenic! It was really gorgeous, but the rain was a dampener on the journey there. I think we walked 1.3km against the frigid wind to get here, instead of taking a bus. I bought a new beanie for NT100, just because.

I wish we had a chance to see the sunset but we didn't because of the rain. And because I woke up late, we didn't have time to visit the Chocolate Wonderland either. ):

Chanced across this on my way back to the Danshui station just now. It was only about 5.30pm but the sky was all dark. It was so pretty 😍😍

I'm back in the hotel for an early night because we hit the trains for Jiufen/Shifen early tomorrow. Think 8AM departure. 

My phone actually died overnight so I overslept because my alarm didn't ring this morning. I'd better not do that tomorrow.

I forgot to use the Dayre Merry Christmas stickers. 😂

Only two more days until my holiday ends. I'm not looking forward to going back to Singapore because of all the things I need to think about once I reach home. 5 more days til 2016, where did all the time fly 😱
