Colourpop Brink + Lumiere + Button pencil Review

Today's #songsession (song-obsession lol): We Don't Talk Anymore - Charlie Puth ft. Selena Gomez

"I can't get you out of my brain" 😏 see what I did there.

Ok sorry lame joke I'm actually on my way to a project meeting now and I'm 30 minutes late. And the bus is not coming. Halp.

But since I have time to stand around waiting I'm going to update my Colourpop reviews. Or maybe just my opinion because I know nothing about reviews.
First up: Brink.

Like I mentioned before, I'm in love with this colour. It's a warm nude shade that's more red/brown than Nyx's Stockholm and its 300% wearable and I think I could wear it everyday.

It's not a really matte finish though - I would say more of a satin-matte. Does that make sense? You can still see some sheen, it doesn't go fully matte even after hours. So when I press my lips together it's still slightly tacky.
And I think because it's not fully matte it's not as drying either. Normal lipsticks, regardless of finish, always dry my lips and leave a thin film of gross dead skin around the mouth. This one didn't, at least for the 5 hours before I ate a sandwich.

It's not transfer proof by the way. One swipe of your hand across would probably smear it all. After my sandwich it was almost all gone. Still some colour left, but most of it definitely went onto my sandwich/the wrapper.
Weird-ass photo of Lumiere. No idea what's up with my hair.

Anyway @desireelyp I don't think this is too dark at all! It's like the same "darkness" as my lips, but a different colour. Does that make sense? 😂

I just think Lumiere doesn't work as well on me as Brink because it's cool toned and I don't look good in very cool toned lipsticks. Probably because, Asian yellow skin tones I guess. But it has a slight plum-ish shade to it, so it's not too bad.
I'm really not used to cool-toned pinks. I think the colour could grow on me, but it definitely won't be my go-to colour. And looking at the photos now, it actually reminds me of a slightly purpler version of Mac's Call The Hairdresser on my lips! CTH is a bit more bright and pink, if any of you have it.

I'm wearing Lumiere today, but it feels a little drying on my lips but it's not too bad! It's more wearable than I thought it would be on me.
Finally, the Button pencil. I think it's a really different shade from the lippie stix actually! I didn't buy that, I think because it was too cool toned/light. Colour wise I actually quite like it 😨 I personally think darker reds/Browns give a very made-up and elegant feel. It's just that I get so little wear out of them because I can't wear them to school. 😂 Oh and this pencil is a little hard to apply. Not sure if I'm doing it wrongly?
It goes on a little patchy and I don't think I could wear it on its own hmm. I'll figure something out.

End of my long photo spam of my face! Sorry for the shameless spam and my bad photos hahaha I took them after I finished school in a huge rush because it was so rare that I ended school before the sun set.

Ok one more stop to my project meeting! I'm so so so late. 😭

Hearts for you!! Hope you're all having a great Friday.
