Colourpop Mini Haul

Good thing I survived through this morning's 3 hour class + presentation. Some of the professor's choice quotes:

A bit confused as to how to sharpen my Colourpop lippie pencil though 😂 is my sharpener supposed to actually sharpen the plastic? 😱

Aaaaand llao-fix to get myself through Tax class: white chocolate biscuits, muesli with chocolate, and black chocolate sauce. 😋 Today is just a mis h mash of random photos.

Me to my friend: I told you my shorts are loose today and you tempted me to eat llaollao, why 😭
... But wait I chose muesli. That's healthy right??

Back with some swatches! 
L-R: Lumiere, Brink, Button Pencil

I'd originally intended to wait until I'm free to do proper lip swatches when there's actually light, but I couldn't resist trying them on. So... The photos are of terrible quality and taken on my iPhone to boot, but they'll do for now until I have the time. (When? Maybe never).

First impressions: why do all my lipsticks come with strange gouges in the stick? Like as though someone with claws swiped the soft part and created marks.

It's not even just Colourpop, even my Mac lipstick strangely disfigured itself on one side? 😢 Did it melt in the shipping process?

Anyway, these lippie stix are harder to apply than I thought! I had the idea they would be buttery and smooth, but it took some effort to get the colour on my lips. Disclaimer though: my lips are naturally very dry (and I didn't spam lip balm today) and flaky.

Like I said: these photos are so, so bad. I wouldn't even post them anywhere else but this is Dayre. 😂

L: Brink
I LOVE Brink. It's such a wearable colour and reminds me a lot of SMLC Stockholm except that Stockholm is a lot peachier/orange-r? Brink is like a pinkish nude. It's described as a dusty taupe, but it's a bit more reddish than taupe. LOVE. I shall wear it out tomorrow!

R: Lumiere
I had my apprehensions about this - I generally look terrible in cool pink/mauve shades.

Good thing Lumiere is a bit more of a plum shade so it doesn't look that bad! It's a bit different from what I normally wear in that I hardly ever wear cool tones, BUT it's not bad. It's strange because on their own my lips are most often cool-toned, so I look washed out without any lip product. But I look terrible in cool toned lipsticks. Lumiere makes me look a little sickly (or maybe I associated cool tones with sick people 😂) but I think the colour could grow on me.

Finally: Button Pencil.

"Holy, this is dark" was my first thought. And boy is it dark. It looks like my BH Cosmetics matte lippie in a brownish red shade which is just weird because it's described as a mid tone warm nude. It's really not a nude though. 😂 Or it might work better on people with darker skin. It's strange because I saw an Asian YouTuber wearing it and it looked great on her, but then again lip products look different on everybody. Oh well. I'll try it again on hydrated lips!

Please forgive the bad photos and terrible makeup today 😅 This is 14 hour makeup you're looking at - I put it on at 7AM and took the photos around 9PM. Today's face was only a thin layer of foundation, translucent powder, eyeliner, eyebrows and blush. Oh and a tiny bit of bronzer because I'm trying to practice. And my skin is SO oily (and in such bad condition recently!) I'm surprised my makeup even lasted. 😂 ok end of makeup babble, time to do work!
