Day 78

Oops. Unblended eyeshadow and uneven skin and messy hair because I woke up late and was in a rush to go out with the mother and sister. 🌚 Bonus points for effort to put on makeup even though today was just a day out to run errands?

Unglam close up.
There are three colours on my eyelids. My camera/eyes magically turned it all into one colour. Blame everything except my poor eyeshadow blending skills HAHA.

Firecracker is such a gorgeous colour! It comes with a whole ton of fallout but the fallout looks like you intended to blend it into your lower lash line for a smokey bronze effect. So all's good. 🌚 I used Funny Girl for the inner corners and it looks pretty good?

And also I really want to buy a mascara (I have never used one before) because my lashes always turn pale and discoloured after all the powder that falls onto them. I wanted to get an Innisfree one today but I spent SO MUCH MONEY (more on why later) that I couldn't bring myself to get mascara. 😢

Anyway today I decided to pop by Bugis because I wanted to get a new pair of glasses done at Owndays, and also go to Topshop since there's an outlet conveniently located there. I had $28 to redeem in my membership card, expiring in April, so...

By the way I did this makeup without contacts. Which means I was half blind while doing it. So I couldn't notice any unblended or uneven things. 😂

We had Monster Curry today! I've been craving this for months?! But I never had the occasion to go and eat it. Plus my friends don't really like it. The three of us shared this huge-ass platter and like wow we struggled to eat it all. I've never tried the one person plate but I don't think I will because I definitely won't be able to eat it all up.

We heard someone asking for samples (we were seated next to the cashier) like what even hahaha curry samples?? 😂

Mmmm look at that cheese katsu and fish fillet and tempura shrimp. I loved the shrimp best. I don't normally eat prawns/hokkien mee because I'm slightly allergic but I just can't resist tempura prawns... Give them all to me!

Bought a pair of black skinnies at Topshop. I was deciding between shorts and jeans, but because Canada will be cold in August-December, I thought it's probably more practical to spend my points on something I'll definitely wear. So black skinnies it is!

I'm not used to skinnies at all. They're so tight. 😵

Oh plus I redeemed the Hello patch to stick on my denim! I can go to Vivo to monogram my jeans but I'm too lazy.

Then I tried Churros 101 for the first time ever.

It was so good.

Like I want some more now.

How is it so good?

The sugary cinnamon churro was warm and toasty and the ice cream was so good too? Like how even.

My sister ate this last week and declared she's never eating llaollao again after this because it's so much better and cheaper too.

But Llaollao is froyo, I think it can't be compared. 😂

Now I'm craving Churros even though I just had dinner. I hope I can still fit into my new skinnies 🙄

Anyway my new spectacles cost more than I expected because my degree is so high. I thought it would just be the price on the glasses but actually I had to pay more to upgrade to thin lenses because mine would be so thick according to the optician.

Actually my sister and I were reluctant to pay $50 more per eye to upgrade because that's $100 more which isn't easy to just spend like that. ($50 for me because my right eye degree is significantly lower, so the lens isn't too thick).

But the optician showed us how thick my sister's lenses will be if we don't get the thin one and two of us were literally 😱😱 It was thicker than most magnifying glasses I've ever seen and I'm not even exaggerating here? Even now with thin lenses my lenses are still pretty thick. I think because we've always had thick frames so we never really saw how thick our lenses were.

And my sister and I have really bad eyesight. Think above 500++++. 😞

So our glasses were almost $300 each.

They're actually quite addictive. Famous Amos is a lot more buttery and dense, and more chocolatey which I also prefer. But these are pretty darned good as well. I can't stop at one?

Ok I'm going to edit photos of my new glasses now, as well as start on work. No watching DotS Ep 7 until I've at least done some Tax!
