Jackpot / Althea / 🍑 TOO FACED SWEET PEACH PALETTE 🍑

Current song obsession: Taeyang's Eyes, Nose, Lips duet with a fan on Fantastic Duo. This has been all over my FB newsfeed!

Gotta admit I've never really liked the song too much (just listened to it once or twice) but this duet blew me away. It's been on replay as I study for finals! (I can't study without music). I love Bigbang's songs.

Check out the quartet where they sing Loser with other fans too! It's really heaven for the ears. 😻

Current show that I'm following: Jackpot (it reads as "Daebak" in Korean) - about DaeGil (Jang Geun Suk) who bets his life in a gambling match with King Yeongjo (Yeo Jin Goo); Yeongjo bets the entire Joseon.

So exciting LOL. For once I have no idea how the show is going to turn out.

Historically, Yeongsu (now DaeGil in Jackpot) died as a child, so Prince Yeoning, his younger brother, eventually became King Yeongjo. So... I assume Yeongjo wins the match but I don't want DaeGil to die!

I'm a huge sucker for sageuks 😁 especially those revolving around King Sukjong (Yeongjo and DaeGil's father) because dramas love to show stories about him, regarding Queen Inhyeon, the infamous Jang Ok Jung who dethroned her and became Queen, and finally Choe Sukbin (who many of you may remember as Dong Yi in that highly popular show "Dong Yi"). Jang Ok Jung's son became King Gyeongjong after Sukjong died (for 4 years) and Yeoning (Choe Sukbin's son) succeeded the throne as King Yeongjo.

I've liked JGS since You're Beautiful but he always tends to choose terrible dramas with dismal ratings. This is his last drama before army, so hopefully it won't be a flop. Bits of the drama are boring, but so far it's still keeping me watching.

I think I'll always see YJG as a kid though. I can't get over seeing him next to Lim Ji Yeon because I swear he looks like her younger brother by 5 years at least. I think he's only 18/19? Paedo-noona Hazel on the alert. 😎

Ok enough about my sageuk rant I think nobody else likes them 😅 Or maybe everyone is still hung up over DotS.

Received my Althea box this week! But only boring stuff inside, nothing fancy to show you guys. Their box seems to have downsized by quite a lot? My first box was HUGE.

Oh I almost got conned by a fake DHL because I thought it was regarding Althea delivery. Good thing I didn't understand any of the Chinese they spoke. 😒

Masks that are not for me... I didn't expect the Holika to be so big... Got a shock when I opened the box.

And that weird foot product is for my bestie... No idea what it's for - to make your feet shiny? 😂

I realized I actually got one sample!! Didn't see it at first because it was concealed behind the other masks. No idea what it's for, but samples are always welcome 🌚 but I'm suddenly reminded of how I threw my Sephora sample away accidentally because I left it in the polymailer. 😵

Wanted to take better photos but it suddenly started pouring as though it hasn't rained for 10 years.

Got the Innisfree primer too but was not expecting it to be so tiny! Maybe I should have gotten the Banila one instead.

Also 2 concealers (no idea why I need 2 when I only have one face) - from Missha and The Saem! Wonder which one to try first. 🤔

Oh ya... I NEED THIS GUYS. 😭 The colours... I just can't.

I'm going to see if I can swatch it in Sephora this coming Monday! Hopefully I'll have time. It depends on where I'm going with my bestie to celebrate her birthday first!

Omg so excited this feels like Christmas come early.

I showed a few friends the link to the palette and they all offered to buy it for me as 21st birthday present. 😭 They said it's easier because I'm so picky about clothes and makeup, so they'd rather buy me something I want, instead of making wild guesses.

Told @yanbell it would be sold out and today we read news that it was really selling out. *cue mad rush to call and reserve*

Thankfully my sister was at Nex so I got her to get it for me. I called and they said it wasn't displayed yet so no need to reserve. Best news ever. Thanks @mehmehsheep 😘 owe you cookies!

So I bought it (and the bestie asked me to buy one for her too) plus I had 10% off Sephora!

Now there's this awkward present situation because I bought it and not my friends 😂

And now they have to "gift" me the money I used to pay for this. 😂 this is the most awkward and hilarious situation ever but they were literally like "I can't go out to buy because I'm studying for finals but HOW what if it sells out?"

Problem solved - since my sister bought it. Woohoo! And she asked for gift wrap hahaha. 😂

Some low quality photos because I'm supposed to be studying now but I spent 5 minutes just smelling it am I weird or..? 😳

I think these palettes came in a slightly worse off condition than my Tarte in Bloom though...

The other half which is probably unwearable but I shall try to make things work.

One thing to note is a lot of the pans aren't "clean". Like its a little messy and the black area where the eyeshadows are potted looks slightly low quality and dented. Not sure if it's because I'm used to Bloom's shiny golden surface!

Omg Candied Peach guys. Can you see the sparkles? It's sparkling pink/gold and shows teeny pink bokeh when I don't focus on it using my phone camera. I love it? 😍😍

I can't wait to use it. Monday!!

By the way I spent too much time thinking whether to get it or not plus a lot of time discussing with the bestie whether she wanted one too (concluded I'm a bad influence) that I'm totally off my study schedule by A LOT.

Plus no sunlight now, swatches are going to look terrible. My house lighting is pretty dim.
