Hajime // Internship Week 3

Time for food spam updates. I was supposed to go out this past Saturday with @ngjieling and @mermaidsarereal but due to unforeseen circumstances it didn't work out. 😅 Been going through a meh time recently, so wanted to meet and talk. Thank you girls for always being my rock and listening to me spazz patiently. :')

Ended up going for Jap food with the parents, so all's good.

We wanted to try the new Geylang Claypot but were told to come back 3 HOURS later. Not that desperate for Claypot🖐🏻

This is at the newly opened Hajime at myVillage. Maybe I was too hungry, but the food was really good. The soup (NOT miso, YES) was filled with lots of chunks of meat and other ingredients, each meal came with watermelon, and prices are nett. Yes, yes and yes. 👍🏻

The father had the Oyako Don ($10.90). I didn't try any of my parents' food but they liked it.

The mother had the Katsu Don ($12.90) which came with a very cool egg unlike the Oyako.

Currently otw home! My senior messaged me at 530 to ask me to send back whatever work is completed. I was confused because I wasn't done but she said "it's 530! Just go home (:". Thank you so much senior 😭 Was having a tough day at work because I had to make some calls in Chinese and I felt like I'd lost 10 years off my life.

I got the Ebi and Pork Katsu Don ($17.90) and was wowed at the size of the plate. I always feel like Jap Dons are overpriced because of the fried food, but I always crave ebi. 😋 I am slightly allergic to prawns and generally stay away from prawn noodles and Hokkien mee but ebi and hargao seem to be ok for me to eat (and also rank amongst my top favourite foods so all's the better).

We had a walk around the area after dinner to work off our foodbabies. I had a very good time with the parents which I'm very thankful for because I'll be going overseas soon and won't have a lot of time to spend with them for 3+ months.

Aaaaand finally had my fish dumpling horfun! The only thing I'm willing to queue up for in Amoy. A very nice colleague treated me to this 2 years ago before uni and I've never forgotten the taste.

So I forced the guys to go to Amoy to eat this even though one of them wanted Mos Burger. And in the end we all ended up eating from this same stall. 😂 brings back memories!

If anyone works near Amoy, try this! It's on the second floor! #dayrefoodies

Bought chocolate to satisfy chocolate cravings. 2 for $5. Is that expensive? 🤔 I forgot the price of a Cadbury bar but this has really sweet yogurt filling. Sweet cravings satisfied and it's back to my morning jog tomorrow!

Shameless selfie of the day. In order to beat the Monday blues I wanted to do a nice eyeshadow look so I can feel good all day. It turned out way too smokey. 😳 Also broke out the Stockholm after a long while of not wearing it. Stockholm is like the MLBB of my top lip but my bottom lip is naturally about 2-3 shades redder... So I rarely wear Stockholm.

Wanted to try a green and gold look today!

Wah I even feel paiseh to post this but Dayre is literally the only platform where I feel like I can post selfies and not get judged as badly? 😳 Pardon the very terrible morning selfies (I really DON'T KNOW why I look so different in selfies) haha I just need a way to document my eyeshadow practices so that I know whether I'm improving. 😬

Raspberry or Iris?

I must be going crazy because I don't normally wear pink or red. But somehow I'm really attracted to the Raspberry.

There's black but black is boring. Should I go for Iris instead? 🤔
