Pokemon Cafe

Tried curls yesterday... But still a little wonky so one side is completely off. It's my most successful attempt yet though. But my friend said I look very motherly. 😂

Did a very neutral eye with no dark colours, and longer eyeliner because I wanted to do bright coral lips.

Second time wearing Jenneration X and I'm still madly in love.

Anyway I had early birthday lunch celebration with my family yesterday, update more later after dinner!

I took leave on Friday because I wanted a break and also to settle some exchange stuff. (but I ended up not settling anything because I was too tired).

We had a family lunch at the Pokemon Cafe by EwF to celebrate my birthday early since my actual birthday is in a Wednesday. 🎂

This was some sort of mashed potato and beef patty, wrapped in a crepe.

Honestly there were only 3 main courses and 2 had beef in them. My family rarely eats beef because we do not particularly like it, so the food choices were pretty meh to us.

The crepe was just tasteless wonton-like skin, and overall this dish was just so-so.

Perhaps the only redeeming factor of this meal was the truffle fries. It says something when your truffle fries (that aren't even the best truffle fries you can get) are the best part of the meal - and it's hard to screw up fries. My family isn't picky about fries.

At least they had something on it that isn't Pikachu. I think my biggest gripe is that the whole thing felt so lacklustre - Pokemon isn't synonymous with Pikachu, even if it is the lead character in the show. It's not Pikachu cafe (and even the Pikachus didn't look fantastic) ⚡️

And then again, why not first gen? I want my Squirtle/Bulbasaur/Charmander. ☹️ I'm not such a huge fan of Treecko/Mudkip/Torchic. Just being difficult here. 😂

Omelette rice which was $20 if I'm not wrong. I was so miffed that we don't get to keep the Pokeball cup because the Pompompurin cafe gave us the cup after the meal. I'm a huge Pokemon fan, okay? (If you didn't already guess that). 😂

Tasteless rice, tasteless omelette, and I didn't like the coconut sauce that came with it. 😳 but at least it was the one that looked most like Pikachu!

Lastly, pancakes! Gosh only now do I realize how misshapen this Pikachu is hahaha.

Pancakes were okay, and probably the second best dish.

Overall... It was just an experience and definitely not something to go back to hahaha.

Had to take a photo here just to commemorate the event haha. I'll be sure to visit the Pokemon Centre in Japan next time! 😊
