New hair!! Got a cut and highlights done at Black Hair Salon yesterday. Looks like my internship pay was well spent!  I actually wanted ashy tones but couldn't commit to bleaching my hair... So caramel highlights it is. Maybe some day I'll have the guts to bleach. Hairdresser commented that I look like the actress from the 9PM show. 😳 Ok I cannot decide which #ootd to post... Now I feel so much lighter since all my hair was cut off hahaha. My friends prefer this one but I prefer the first. 🤔 really first world problems eh but what do you girls think? I was very sad because I thought I wouldn't get to eat mooncakes before I fly. And I live for mooncakes every year. But I went to visit my aunt and she had a box of mooncakes that someone gave to them but they don't eat mooncakes! Some kind of champagne truffle with ganache from Raffles Hotel, wow. Ate the whole mooncake up which is a huge indulgence - I normally only eat a quarter. Pre-trip wish lis...

Doing haircut and getting some highlights today! Can't wait for a new change with my hair. (Took this in the morning but only posting now because I'm leeching off the mrt wifi while waiting for my friend). I haven't eaten since 9 in the morning and it's 3pm now I'm STARVED. BOO. Back from the hairdresser's + had really good waffles... Gonna shower before dinner! Really leading the fat life. I love my new hair. 😊 New hair! Another one where the sunlight hit the hair directly. #hazelnutlearnstocook Day 4: Herbed Roasted Potatoes, Carrots, Bell Peppers This was so fuss free and idiot proof. 😌 Peel peel peel, chop chop chop, douse in a small amount of olive oil, liberal amounts of herbs and black pepper, and into the oven they go. I've been eating too much carbs recently. And I haven't been able to exercise since I fell sick. 😳 And the scary thing about potatoes is that it's so starchy and carby but I can't ever feel full from eating them. Just some thoughts that have been going on in my mind for the past 1.5 weeks... Day out with  @ngjieling ! Meant to take nice ootds, eat lunch and head to the Fayth office to collect my DW watch but it rained - The. Whole. Freaking. Day. Finally queued for BAKE cheese tarts though! Albeit a few months late for this trend... We only queued about 10 minutes hehe. I went to Warehouse to spend the gift card I won from their ootd contest, and I fell in love with this pair of culottes. It looks like the typical striped fabric that I keep seeing on a lot of culottes but it's in a more muted colour palette and I love this colour so much more? I really like it compared to the usual brown/black/white stripes. 😭 @briannawonggg  is there anything similar coming up on TCL in this kind of stripes? 😂 Look how gorgeous it is? It fit perfectly too. But $109 for a super thin pair of culottes with no lining... Nope. Can't even wear it in Canada because it's almost see through. I got the Breton striped knit I'm wearing instead! $89 after my F3 member...

#hazelnutlearnstocook Day 3: Mac & Cheese with chicken sausages, broccoli and carrots. I love broccoli. And cheese. And macaroni. 😛 But too many Western food places (like I-Steaks) that serve "Mac & Cheese" as a side to their main meat meal often give some chewy rubbery macaroni, and drown it in a gelatinous neon yellow gloop that looks like cheese but tastes nothing like it. Not my type of Mac & Cheese for sure. I like mine mixed with carbonara pasta sauce (no health factor considered, really, but hey I added vegetables!) and then topped with a good dose of cheese mix (Cheddar, Parmesan, Mozarella). The cheese melts and becomes gooey and spreads over the pasta. Yummerz. And, voila. Not too bad though, this took me slightly less than an hour to assemble, and then another 15-ish minutes in the oven. And while waiting for the oven, I washed the dishes. I also ironed some clothes while waiting for it to cool in the oven afterward before I removed it ...

I feel so sick today. Ok to be honest I'm not THAT sick - a bit of a sore throat, my head hurts, and my nose feels stuffy and uncomfortable. But because I rarely fall sick, I just feel comparatively worse even if it's a teeny bit of sickness. Not to mention I've a dentist appointment tomorrow so I have to recover by today. I also have to go to a friend's birthday party later. 😵 Please let me recover in 2 hours... Anyway I recently read a book on Monday - and I couldn't put it down. I stayed up til 3am to read it, decided that I'd better sleep, and then somehow woke up at 7+ and was unable to sleep. I spent the whole of Monday trying to finish it. Anybody heard of Sarah J Maas? The book's called A Court of Mist & Fury (ACOMAF for short) and is the sequel to a 3 part series. I first read book 1 (A Court of Thorns & Roses - ACOTAR) last August and I was dying for book 2.
